THE ARTIST

I conceived GeoSymphony as an artistic representation of the concept "Reality is about perspective." Life is an ever-flowing journey filled with ups and downs, failures, and successes. However, it is our unique perspective on these experiences that shapes the reality we inhabit. GeoSymphony, with its simplicity and elegance, captures this essence.

Drawing inspiration from early 2000s screen savers and movies like TRON, GeoSymphony showcases a mesmerizing arrangement of rectangular prisms. What makes it captivating is the ability to appreciate its beauty from any angle, whether viewed up close or from a distance. Each piece is a testament to the countless possibilities, with over half a trillion color combinations and an even greater variety in prism sizes. By utilizing the token ID as a random seed for artwork generation, no two pieces are alike, ensuring the uniqueness of each creation.

MY STORY

I'm Guillermo Alvarez, the Founder and Lead Developer at Encrypted Reality, and the Artist behind GeoSymphony.

Growing up in a household of artisans, creativity has always been a part of my life. Inspired by my father's furniture designs, my mother's passion for fashion, and my siblings' musical talents, I developed a love for art from a young age. At 8 years old, I discovered the incredible achievements of Leonardo Da Vinci, whose art, scientific explorations, and engineering marvels fueled my belief in the power of determination and passion.

My fascination with computers led me to learn coding and develop copies of games like Snake and Tetris from a young age. I saw code as an art form, where words written in a specific syntax could transform into visual displays or interactive experiences. This artistic nature of coding allowed me to solve complex problems and think innovatively.

In 2011, as a young enthusiast exploring the internet, I stumbled upon Bitcoin and the concept of cryptocurrency mining. Despite being unable to fully explore its potential at a young age, I continued to learn and invest in cryptocurrencies as I grew older. In 2019, I discovered the immense value of NFTs, realizing their power to revolutionize the art world and empower artists financially.

The idea for Encrypted Reality emerged from a conversation with a full-time artist friend. We discussed NFTs and the potential benefits they could bring to artists. I proposed a collaboration where I would handle the technical aspects of creating NFTs, allowing the artist to focus solely on their art. This sparked the idea of actively launching art collections, inspired by the success of profile picture (PFP) projects.

As an artist myself, I explored various mediums like Procreate and p5.js scripts to create generative art. I wanted to bring life and dynamism to my creations, going beyond static art. After several attempts, GeoSymphony was born, becoming the first collection for Encrypted Reality. It served as a proof of concept, showcasing the potential of launching art collections and what I could offer to other artists.

So, that's a glimpse of my life journey, where art, technology, and the possibilities of NFTs have shaped my path. I'm passionate about empowering artists and pushing the boundaries of digital art
